Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how SetupMyPOD ("we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website at https://setupmypod.com (the "Site"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.

In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or information that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information. For more on how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information. We also use related technologies such as local storage and pixels, which this Policy covers as well.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, SetupMyPOD) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by anyone other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality on the Site, such as analytics, session replay, and advertising measurement. The parties that set these cookies can recognize your browser both when it visits this Site and when it visits certain other websites.

2. Why do we use cookies?

We use first- and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some are required for the Site to work at all, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary." Others help us understand how the Site is used and how our marketing performs so we can improve both.

The categories we use are described below.

CategoryWhat it doesExamples of what we use it for
Strictly necessaryRequired for the Site to load, route pages, and keep it secure. These cannot be switched off in our systems.Page delivery and hosting, security and abuse prevention, submitting a form.
PreferenceRemembers choices you make so the Site behaves consistently between visits.Remembering that you have already seen a prompt, and the state of time-limited offers shown on the Site.
Analytics and performanceTells us which pages are visited, how people move through the Site, and where things break. Some providers also record page interactions and technical errors.Product analytics, traffic measurement, session replay, and error monitoring.
Advertising and marketingMeasures how our campaigns perform and helps us understand which businesses are interested in our services.Conversion measurement for advertising campaigns, and business-visitor identification for business-to-business outreach.

The specific cookies served may vary depending on which pages you visit and which of our tools are active at the time. Some of the tools above are enabled only in certain environments or campaigns.

3. How can I control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. We do not currently show a cookie preference banner on the Site, so the main controls available to you are your browser settings, the opt-outs offered by individual providers, and contacting us directly.

If you reject or delete cookies you can still use the Site, though some functionality and areas may be limited. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be rejected without breaking parts of the Site.

You can also email us at hello@setupmypod.com to ask us to suppress you from our business-visitor identification tool, or to ask what information we hold about you.

4. How can I control cookies in my browser?

The way you refuse cookies through browser controls varies from browser to browser, so visit your browser's help menu for the current instructions. All major browsers — including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and Opera — let you block or delete cookies, and offer a private browsing mode that clears them when you close the window.

Many browsers and extensions also block third-party trackers by default, and some send an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control. We honor those signals where our providers support them.

Most advertising networks offer their own opt-out for interest-based advertising. The Digital Advertising Alliance, the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada, and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance each publish industry opt-out tools you can use.

5. What about other tracking technologies?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors. We may also use web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"), which are tiny graphics files containing a unique identifier that lets us recognize when someone has visited the Site or opened an email from us.

These let us understand traffic patterns between pages, tell whether you arrived from an advertisement, improve Site performance, and measure the results of email campaigns. Many of them rely on cookies to work, so declining cookies will impair them too.

We also use local storage in your browser to keep small pieces of state between page loads. Clearing your browsing data removes it.

6. Do you serve targeted advertising?

Third parties may set cookies on your device to measure advertising delivered through or driving traffic to the Site. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites to provide relevant advertisements and to measure how effective those advertisements are.

Information collected this way does not by itself let us or them identify your name or contact details, unless you choose to provide them — for example by submitting one of our forms. Our business-visitor identification tool is an exception and is described in Section 3 of our Privacy Policy.

7. How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please revisit it regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the current version took effect.

8. Where can I get further information?
